AI is a central focus of Samsung’s smartphone efforts nowadays, and the company is partnering closely with Google to leverage Gemini on Galaxy devices. According to a new leak, Gemini may be able to tap into Samsung’s core apps on the Galaxy S25 series including Samsung Notes and more.
Samsung’s partnership with Google over AI features primarily focused on Circle to Search in last year’s Galaxy S24 series, but it seems the company will be leaning more on Gemini this time around, as leaks have been hinting.
Leaker @chunvn8888 on Twitter/X posted screenshots of Gemini extensions for Samsung Notes, Samsung Calendar, and Samsung Reminder. This would allow Google’s AI to tap into – with user permission – those preinstalled Samsung apps to better provide answers, perform tasks, and more.
For Samsung Calendar, Gemini would be able to create, edit, and delete events, including being able to create an event from an image. Similarly, Gemini could use Samsung’s Reminder app to create, edit, or delete reminders, though it’s limited in some functions as pictured below.
Samsung Notes will also be able to integrate with Gemini, with the ability to not only create new notes, but summarize existing ones, and “retrieve your notes based on descriptions and titles.” It all sounds pretty useful.
